T.G.I.F. (Thank Goodness I’m Fabulous!) is doing it again. MASCARA VI, our annual Transgender symposium, is approaching. We have a wonderful day planned for all participants. We will have a panel of Transmen who will discuss what is or is not happening to keep HIV prevention in the forefront. Our panel of Transwomen will discuss everything from sharing hormones and needles to staying safe if you’re involved in sex work. Rutgers University will host the event again this year, and is providing us with the newly refurbished Essex Room, complete with state-of-art audio/visual equipment. Our facilitator will be the infamous Harmonica Sunbeam, and the panel discussions will be moderated by Aisha Diori. Special guests will include Tiq Milan, Elizabeth Rivera, Sean Coleman, and filmmaker Ariq Barrett.
We will also have a special Transgender Day of Remembrance presentation to honor our Trans-sisters that we’ve lost recently, and our annual balloon release. Please save the date, and come join us!
